Orders to remain in same position. Weather cool, rain. Morale low. 11 July 1944 - Jumped off 1200 for attack. Teamed with tanks. Met stiff resistance and moved very little before 1600. Started enemy moving back and advanced to our objective. Arrived 1800. Dug in and sent out patrols.
